I'm 5 Months Old!

Okay, so Addison is now a little over 6 months.  I'm a little behind posting, but these pictures were taken when she was 5 months!  I was busy getting our house ready to put on the market and now that it's on the market, it seems like I'm cleaning ALL OF THE TIME!

At 5 months, Addison was in the 75% for weight, and 95% for height.  She's a happy baby most of the time, although I'm pretty sure she has a little stranger anxiety.  She's not nearly as smiley for people she's not as familiar with as she is with me, her daddy, or her brothers.

She's discovered her toes and really wants to get them in her mouth, but hasn't quite figured out how to yet.

She's also discovered her fingers and loves to chew on them.

She's starting to "talk" a lot and has fun blowing raspberries.  I think Trevor has gotten a little frustrated because it's cute when Addison spits, but not when he spits.

She's starting to get little eyelashes!

I'm still having fun playing dress-up with her!  :)

Isn't she just the cutest little thing!

First Food

We decided to start Addison on solids tonight with hopes she'll start sleeping through the night (again).  Here's how it went...

What are you doing to me?

I'm not so sure I like this...

Let me think about it...

Maybe it's not so bad!

I think I kind of like it!

Yum!!!

I Love Being a Mom, but...

Today I was going absolutely crazy!  It was one thing after another!  The morning started off like this...

My husband just installed this new flooring last night.  Thank goodness for the Magic Eraser.  It came right off!  Let's just say someone was really lucky!!!  Here are the other "fun" events of the day:

Tried to cut Ethan's hair, but he was really fussy and moving around a bunch - it looks like a mommy cut and there's no fixing it!

While I was cutting Ethan's hair, Trevor decides to squirt Addison with a water bottle so she wasn't happy!

Trevor and Ethan had suckers - translation:  suckers all over the place, in the carpet and on everything they touched.

Went out side for a while, the boys got in the pool fully dressed and then hit the sandbox (read:  WET SAND / BIG MESS).  They were fighting over the toys and throwing sand at each other.

Gave them a cheesestick for a snack and Ethan spits his out all over the side of the trash can.

Usually Trevor and Ethan take about a three hour nap.  Not today when they really needed it (or I really needed it).  Trevor woke up after two hours and went into Ethan's room and woke him up.  Trevor usually gets up first, but he never goes into Ethan's room.  Why today???

I gave them some crackers for an afternoon snack and they start running all over the house chasing each other so I had cracker crumbs everywhere!

And let me tell you, there was plenty of whining, fighting, begging, crying, etc. in between all of this.

Here are my little partners in crime (in driving mommy crazy)!  They look guilty, don't they?

Finally, it's quiet.  The little angels are in bed and hopefully, almost asleep!  Mommy needs a beer!  :)

I'm 3 Years Old!

Trevor is by far the hardest to photograph.  He's always on the go.  He purposely looks away from the camera or starts making funny faces.  I was actually able to get a few decent pictures of him today playing in the sandbox.  He's growing up so fast!!!  I can't believe he's already three!  He's SO INDEPENDENT right now.  He wants to do everything himself - get dressed, pour a drink, cut up food, put his shoes on, etc. and he has a TEMPER when he can't do something or figure something out!  He is also very curious about EVERYTHING - but how come?, why?, huh?, etc.!

Here's his sassy look!

Here's his bashful look!  I think he looks a lot like his Arizona Grandma in this picture.

And here's his silly look!

I have to admit, it makes me sad that he doesn't need me as much.  Thankfully, he still wants to sit next to me every morning while he watches cartoons, he still wants to sit on my lap every once in a while, and I still hear "I love you too, Mommy!" a lot!

Meet Bucky!

No Franklin, no Bucky...Trevor can't make up his mind!  Anyway, meet the newest member of our family.

He is the first pet we've had since having the boys and they are so excited!  My dad found him and brought him over today.

Trevor likes him pretty well...

But Ethan is crazy about him!  I asked Trevor if Papa can take the turtle home and Ethan screamed out "NO!"

The boys made Bucky/Franklin a really nice home.  I hope he stays with us for at least a few days!

Yay for Summer!

With today being warm and the forecast for the week, sunny and in the 80's!  I think summer is FINALLY here!

Slather on the sunscreen...

Put on the hat...

Pull out the sprinkler...

Grab a swing...

Shoot the water gun...

Let's have some fun!  Yay for summer!!!

I'm 2 Years Old!

I can't believe Ethan is already 2 years old (and a couple months)!  :)  I love this age when everything is so innocent and new (well, sort of on the innocent part)!  Ethan was a little slow starting to talk, but he's catching up now!  It's so cute to hear him try to put sentences together and repeat what I say.  He was telling his papa to "be careful" tonight when he was leaving.

He's still a mama's boy and I LOVE it!  I don't want that to ever change!  He likes to help me cook, clean, and wash dishes (sometimes a little too much).  He has finally learned to walk down the stairs instead of going down on his belly, which makes me a little sad - he's growing up!  He can almost count to 10!  His favorite song is "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and he gets emotional whenever he watches these videos before bed - Andrea Bocelli sings Elmo to sleep and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

I've been wanting to take all my kids to a professional photographer, but the logistics (good moods; no bug bites, bruises, etc.; getting to and from; trying to pick out pictures while keeping the little ones happy) are so complicated that I keep putting it off.  So I decided I better try to take some before he turns three!  It's so much harder to get pictures of kids once they become mobile!  He woke up before Trevor so I had a chance to chase him around the house with the camera.

I love this little guy so much!

Pictures

I've been a little obsessed with taking pictures lately...I got a new camera for Christmas and I'm just now getting around to learning how to use it (although, I still have a way to go, learning how to use a camera is seriously like learning a foreign language).

I took these two pictures of my mom with Addison and I have to admit, I'm jealous!  I wish I had pictures of me and my kids like this.   I am glad that I have these pictures though (and I bet Grandma is glad also)!

Here are a few more I took of Addison today.

This is my favorite!
