2 Months Old!

Here's Addison's 2 month old "photo shoot"...

She's a chunky one!  She weighed 11 lbs., 15 oz. and was 24 1/2  inches at her 2 month appointment.  She's in the 75th percentile for both height and weight!  I think she looks like Ethan.

And Trevor!

She does NOT like to nap for long periods in the daytime unless she's laying on mommy's chest.  However, thank goodness on most nights she's a pretty good sleeper!

She started smiling this month (although, it's almost impossible to catch on camera!).  Here's sort of a half grin...

Apparently, she does NOT like the big flower headbands because she SCREAMS whenever I put them on.  We're going to have to keep working on this because she looks so cute in them!

My Lucky Charms

I'm discovering the older kids get, the harder it is to get good pictures of them!  This is best picture I could get of Trevor in his St. Patrick's Day shirt.  Here he's rocking Addison while we get ready to visit daddy at his office.  Addison HATES her carseat!  Trevor is a pretty good little helper!  I'm also discovering (a little late) a good age gap between kids  is 3 years apart.  Trevor is old enough to be around Addison without hurting her and a bonus, he likes to help out! (Although, I'm very thankful to have Ethan - it's just he's like godzilla around Addison!)

Luck of the Irish!

With all of this red hair, we must be Irish and that means we have to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  And maybe if we're lucky, we can catch a leprechaun!  Steve and the boys made these cute little leprechaun traps last night and baited them with Lucky Charms.

Well, Trevor baited the traps while Ethan enjoyed the Lucky Charms!

Before they went back in to go to bed they looked around one last time for leprechauns.

This morning, they were eager to find out if we caught anything...

They got a little closer to the traps and didn't find any leprechauns, but they found something better - chocolate!

And evidence that we had visitors.  There were little green footprints!

This got the boys looking again for leprechauns...

Still no leprechauns, so we back inside and found these...rainbow cupcakes!!!

Yum, yum!!!

Lucky boys!  No leprechauns, but lots of good treats!  Maybe we'll catch one next year!

Day 11 - 31 Day Challenge - A Photo that Makes you Laugh

Day 11
A Photo that Makes you Laugh

This is the first picture I thought of.  It's Ethan around 7 months right after a bath.  I'm not sure exactly what he's thinking, but from the look on his face, it's probably something like "Ahh, mom, don't take a picture!! I'm naked!!!"

I found these pictures also when looking for the one of Ethan.  I think they're pretty funny so I had to add them.

This is Trevor or better known as "Cookie Monster!"

This picture was taken right after Trevor had a bath (on why he's missing his pants).  It was really warm outside and Trevor had just gotten a new raincoat so we let him go outside and play.  The raincoat covered him when standing...but not when bending down!

And here's Trevor pumping!

Day 10 - 31 Day Challenge - Your Favorite Room in Your House

Day 10
Your Favorite Room in Your House

Okay, this one is going to have to be without a picture because it's our family room, a.k.a 1st playroom and it's always a mess!  :)  I like it because it's where our family hangs out the most.  It's got everything, the TV, toys, my laptop, a fireplace, close to the kitchen, etc.  I only wish we had more windows in this room.  It's bright in the mornings, but dark in the afternoons.

Day 9 - 31 Day Challenge - Your Most Treasured Item

Day 9
Your Most Treasured Item

Okay, I'm a little behind (again)...here's my most treasured item - my laptop!  I'm on the internet every free chance I get.  I would go crazy if something happened to it (or well, actually, I would be going to Best Buy to buy another one)!  :)

Day 8 - 31 Day Challenge - A Birthday Celebration

Day 8
A Birthday Celebration

Probably, the most fun birthday that I remember was a suprise party for my 16th birthday.  I can't remember how my parents pulled it off, but it was a complete surprise and so much fun!  I wish I had pictures...

The best birthday present ever (and I don't think any other present could be better than this) was the birth of my first-born, Trevor.  Our bithdays are two days apart.

Day 7 - 31 Day Challenge - Something you use every day

Day 7
Something You Use Every Day

My coffeepot.  I would not be able to function without my coffee!  I look forward to a cup every morning.

Day 6 - 31 Day Challenge - A Favorite Memory

Day 6 - A Favorite Memory

My wedding was definitely one of my favorite memories.  I didn't have a fancy wedding or reception, but it was one of the best times of my life!  Everything seemed to go so smooth!  All of Steve's out of town relatives were able to make it and all of my family came...and got along!  We got married at 2:00 and almost everyone stayed and danced until midnight.  It was so much fun!

Day 5 - Your day (31 Day Challenge)

31 Day Challenge
Day 5 - Your day

6:45 am - Trevor and Addison are both awake - no sleeping in!
Let the chaos begin!
  • Feeding
  • Diapers
  • Cleaning
  • Playing
  • Holding
  • Repeat, repeat, repeat
Although, I did get my hair cut and highlighted, created Ethan's birthday invitations, and went to Walmart with Addison.  Pretty good day overall!

Here's a picture of the end of the day chaos - Steve's trying to read them a story, but Trevor would rather hold Addison; Addison doesn't want Trevor to hold her; and Ethan is upset because he wants to hold Addison. Not sure what Steve's doing, but guessing he's taking a deep breath and thinking, thank goodness it's almost bedtime!

Day 4 - 31 Day Challenge - An experience that made you who you are today

31 Day Challenge
Day 4 - An experience that made you who you are today

My first positive pregnancy test.  I had no idea how much this would change my life.  I got pregnant with my first baby two months after I had gotten married in 2005.  We weren't trying, but not really preventing either.  About 5 weeks into this pregnancy, I started experiencing all day morning sickness.  My husband had a trip to Korea during this week so he never got to see how sick I was.  By the time he had gotten back, I had discovered Zofran - an anti nausea medicine.  However, even with the medicine I was still pretty sick up until about 6 months.  Needless to say, our first year of marriage wasn't all that exciting!  Sadly, I lost this baby, a girl - Jordan Marie at 39 weeks.  The cause of death was determined as "unknown".  I think about her everyday and always wonder how life would be different if she were here.

After losing Jordan, all I could think about was getting pregnant again.  I got pregnant four months later and that pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage and then again about 4 months later and another miscarriage.  I couldn't believe this was happening to me.  I really questioned God at this time.  Why would he let me get pregnant so easily the first time with no complications except horrible morning sickness and then after losing that baby have two miscarriages?  I had more testing done after the miscarriages and again, results came back as "unknown."  Finally around the time Jordan would have been one year old, I got pregnant with Trevor - thank you God!  With all of the losses I had already experienced, I didn't want to purposely prevent another pregnancy so when Trevor was 6 months old, I discovered I was pregnant again with Ethan.  I figured the pregnancy would result in a miscarriage, but thankfully, it didn't.  We weren't trying, but when Ethan was about a year, I got pregnant once again and it resulted in another miscarriage - thankfully, I already had my two boys and I had miscarried almost as soon as I found out I had a positive pregnancy test so it wasn't near as painful as the other losses.  It still hurt though and it's funny how sometimes you think you don't want something until it's taken away from you.  This caused me to get the baby bug again and a couple months later, pregnant with Addison.  I can get pregnant easily; I just have trouble with the end result being a baby.  So now I'm 3:7 - three babies out of seven pregnancies.  Steve and I have talked about trying to even out the score so that means maybe one more.  We'll see, it will definitely be a few years before I want to go down this emotional roller coaster again!

Day 3 - 31 Day Challenge - My Favorite TV show

As I mentioned on the Day 1 post, I could live without TV, but... I would miss Desperate Housewives!  It's the only show I watch every single week.  Thankfully, I think my husband likes it as much as I do so we don't have to fight over the TV on sunday nights!

Sweet Boy!

Last night, I bumped my toe on the edge of my bed and it's pretty sore this morning.  Well, Trevor saw me walking funny and asked what was wrong so I told him I think I broke my toe.  He gets down on the floor and then I realize what he's trying to do - he's going to kiss it to make it feel better!  I told him "Thanks Trevor, that's awfully sweet, but I can't let you do that!" So, instead he has his bear kiss my toe.  Such a sweet boy (well, except for his new "I don't like you mommy!  Go to the store!" whenever he gets mad at me, but that's a different post)!  :)

31.Free day. Whatever you like!

Okay, here's my Day 1 - 10 Facts About Me!

1.  I like my house to be super clean, however, with two little boys and a big boy, I'm learning to let go (because I don't really have a choice) and take a deep relaxing breath with every little hand print on the wall, crumb on the floor, sippy cup spill on the carpet, artwork on the wall, etc.

2.  My favorite holiday is Christmas Eve.  I love the anticipation of Christmas morning, especially now that I have little ones.

3.  I really don't like to talk on the phone.  I would much rather visit in person.

4.  I don't like jeans.  I think they are uncomfortable (even when I'm at my thinnest weight).  I even change my kids into sweats for their naps!

5.  I love being outdoors.  I'm not really big on spiders, bugs, or snakes, but I love the warm sunshine, the breeze, the smell of grass, the openness...

6.  As soon as I first met my husband I fell in love with him.  He was so nice, sincere, and really cute (and he doesn't know he's cute)!

7.  I love spending time with my family, but also really enjoy my ladies' (mom's) nights out.

8.  My senior year in high school, I skipped school so much I almost didn't graduate.

9.  Being a stay at home mom is HARD.  I am so thankful I found a fantastic mom's group.

10.  I'm an internet junkie.  I could live without a TV, but DO NOT take away my internet!

Whew, that was hard...and I have 30 more to go???  :)
